Just a Little Bit Special
By Jalaier

I turn my laptop on at night

Its lit screen is my only light

I double-click and then connect

To what is known as the Internet

I surf the web now that I'm here

And patiently wait for your name to appear

I smile brightly when you connect

And I'm here too, as you'd expect

We greet each other with a smile

I know I'll be here for a while

Now our nightly chat has begun

Every chat is lively and fun

And off to the forum we merrily go

Protected by a password that we only know

You post a message and I reply

Something about raccoons and if they could fly

We surf the web for other sites

Except it's now morning and not tonight

And sadly we must part our ways

Before the morning turns into day

I frown and send a smiley that cries

You send me a heart and we say our good-byes

And now I'm off to go to bed

To visit others worlds inside my head

I know in my heart what others can't see

You're just a little bit special to me

Dedicated to a friend
