Fading rose petals

Lay strewn on the ground

Long gone are days of its enthralls

Its earlier beauty none to be found

Smudges of brown replace

The once glorious crimson

Once daring to mock the God’s grace

But now withered akin to a raisin

-

The harsh winds and snow

Come blowing from the north

No wheat and grain to plow

No flowers to spring forth

-

The petals, alas

Are crushed beneath a flurry

Of bitter snowstorm wrath

Frozen for eternity
