Where is the strong little girl?

With bravery in her heart

And a smile on her lips

A sparkle in her eye

And confidence in her step

She's the little woman

Up in her room

Making herself weak

In the eyes of the world

She doesn't cry

She only bleeds

She doesn't whimper

She doesn't scream

Killing herself

From the outside in

She doesn't want to be

Who she is under her skin

So many wounds

In places they don't see

Shouldn't they see the blood on her clothes?

Shouldn't they see the pain behind her eyes?

Such horrible red spots

So noticeable, yet unnoticed

Such big grey eyes

Laced with hurt

Shouldn't they see it?

They didn't see it then

Why should they see it now?

Where is the weak little woman?

With cuts on her skin

Blood on the outside

Nothing on the in

Pain in her eyes

And stains on her clothes

She is still here
