A Moment In Time

Sands Of Time

Sands of time that trickle through

take me with you

to the beach

of ancestry and history

where time does not wear on

and the waves that crash

will not ever swallow the land

nor ever grind down the rocks that stand

ever as they were and ever as they will be

Slumber in the Darkness

Sink into empty space

with no thought or feeling

black lake that swallows all

unconscious night

lifeless until morning

when the sun breaks through the clouds

and bird calls rise in symphony

and a single tear falls to bid farewell

to the moon

Invisibility

In silence again

surrounded bu darkness

thoughts flickering with flame

no light shed through

eyes blind to the world around

standing in a crowd

yet entirely alone

invisibly and nothing to all who pass me
