I like him, he likes me. So what's the problem? I'll tell you the problem: the problem is that he says we'll never talk. How absurd is that? Do I look like the kind of person that would have trouble talking? I don't think so. You should hear me yammer on and on. If it weren't for those trivial necessities- you know, eating, sleeping breathing- I'd probably never shut up! I get into so much trouble at school. All the teachers are like "Kalyn, be quiet." And I just ignore them because that's how I am. I'm a talker. It's what I do- I talk.

Right. Back to Michael.

He says that he's really busy. Yeah, I'll bet he is. But I know the real reason he doesn't want to date me… there's another girl involved. Want to know how I know? When a guy says he likes you and he knows that you're absolutely crazy about him, but he still doesn't ask you out or do anything about the fact, it means there's another girl. Most likely a high-schooler like himself. She's probably prettier than me, smarter than me, funnier, older, and more fun to be around than me.

Sometimes I just wish I could read his mind. Then I wouldn't have to sit here, helplessly, as my happiness rests in his hands.
