I pick up my hand mirror
And stare into the reflection I see
The truth is, I dont even see me.
I dont see the sweet girl I am
The girl who smiles for you
Someone wanting to help you
And not break the fragile piece of glass known as your heart.
I see a girl who smiles for herself,
Doesn't even bother trying to help you when your down
Shattering the glass with every soft spoken word that comes out of my mouth.
I don't mean to hurt anyone
I don't mean to be rude
I am just human, not a perfect girl
I may be a temptress
in a girl body to hide
But all I know is that I am sorry
And right now I just want to cry
Then lay my body down and die
