It's tempting to get lost

In the pain, as it swells

To succumb to the urge

To hurt

Yourself, and I watch

As the blood pours

Onto the new rug

And I hear the thump

As my body

Hits the floor

And my tears

Form a river

The blood washes away

And my hands

Start to shake

It foams at the mouth

My eyes flutter

Closed

And my world is exposed.
