Faith of a Child

I see her praising You
little arms lifted up
golden locks glistening in the light
like snow-spangled strands of silk
eyes wide open
glowing with purity
shining with unclouded sincerity
sparkling with undivided conviction
their cornflower smile beaming into me
piercing my very heart

what has happened to my trust
what has happened to my joy
what has happened to my faith
the radiant faith of a child
oh bring me back to
a faith not fractured by doubts
a faith not clouded by depression
a faith not hollowed by sorrow
the faith I used to have
before I fell into darkness

Wasn’t quite sure if I should put “darkness” or “twilight” in the last line. What do you think better?
