Isn’t it great that you can find someone?

Someone to be there for you,

To listen to you.

Someone you can spill your guts out to,

Frighten them with your thoughts,

And they’ll still be there to make you smile.

To make you feel like everything’s just fine and dandy.

Isn’t it great that you can find someone?

Someone that knows what’s going on in your life

Without you saying a single word.

Someone who understands that your silence is there for a reason;

Someone who can make you laugh by their mere presence.

Someone that can make you smile just by being next to you.

Someone who cares about you because

You are a person.

Isn’t it great that you can find someone?

Someone to be there when you need them;

Someone you can trust.

Someone you can say anything to

And they will never repeat it again unless you want it to be repeated.

Someone you can share your soul with,

Your fragile soul

That flutters on the brink of insanity,

But an inch away from flying off into the night.

Have you found that someone?

That someone that you’ve dreamed of-

Someone that you’ve prayed for every day of your life?

Someone that can cause your breath to stop

While you still want to live?

Someone you pine for as you wake,

And even more so when you sleep.

Someone you think of

During the moments that matter in your day;

When you wish,

Oh how you wish,

That they were there to share it with you.

Whisper your song of sweet remorse

As I twist and turn in life’s cold course.

Your body and mine intertwine

As we slowly dance and drink and dine.

Oh sweet boy, your eyes of sea,

Fall asleep right next to me.

Pull me close as your wish has bade

And let your melody never fade.

Hum the tune from yesteryear

And let them pass, every fear;

I never want to part from you

For this is love in deepest true.
