It was Saturday night and it was time.
He took a shower and was dressed in fifteen minutes, with his car keys and a belt that read “John” he was gone.
Once he entered the car, the air was cold, but he felt warm. His heart was in a flutter. He was excited to meet the person his friend had set him up with, and although a party environment wasn’t his favorite environment, he was still excited.
It was Saturday night and it was time.
As he pulled into the driveway, loud music echoed in the air. He got out of the car and hesitantly walked toward the door. Girls who were obviously drunk were stumbling out of the door as he tried to make his way in. Then, all of a sudden…
“Hey, are you John?” He heard a loud voice yell over the music.
As he turned around he saw him. Not the type of person he was used to, but he seemed nice nonetheless.
“Yeah, that’s me. And you’re…?” He questioned.
“Paul.” He exclaimed.
“Well it’s nice to meet you” John said. He reached out his hand
They shook hands.
“Hey, did you want something to drink?” Paul questioned.
“What all do they have here?”
“Rum, Vodka, Beer, Some soda and milk, if you think you could make something out of that.”
“Uh…rum and coke if they have any.” He said, “If not, I’ll just take a beer”
“Alright…be right back” Paul said, smiling.
After Paul left, John called his friend and exclaimed how excited he was to have met him.
What John didn’t know was that when Paul made his drink, other than the rum and coke, he added a roufie. He would be passed out within no time.
It was Saturday night and it was time.
They danced and talked and drank and had a good time. John could really see himself with Paul. He seemed like a good guy.
John got a call on his cell phone.
“Hey” a girls voice exclaimed.
“Hey Mary, how are you?” John asked.
“Good, how are things with Paul going?” she questioned.
“Great. He’s funny and sweet and cute. Thank you so much for setting us up!” He said.
“No problem, but if anything happens you have to tell me!” She said happily.
“Bye Mary” He said with a smile on his face.
That was the last thing he remembered.
It was Saturday night and it was time.
He woke up on the floor of the bathroom. The first thing he saw was puddle of vomit, along with vomit splattered on the walls and around the toilet. The vomit wasn’t his own, which made things even worse. It was cold. He was unclothed, and all possessions were lost. He could only find the pants he had been wearing beforehand.
He felt pain where it could be easily concluded. The music had stopped. The people had stopped. Everything had stopped.
Once he rose, he looked into the mirror. His face hurt, and he noticed he had a black eye, and one side of his face was completely swollen. He had to get out of there.
He made his way through the hallway, and there were miscellaneous people laying throughout the house. Passed out. He stepped over them with the most caution, as if not to disturb them.
John was uncertain of where to go. He didn’t have a ride home. Hell, he couldn’t even find the front door. The house seemed so foreign and he couldn’t understand how or why he was there until he thought for a minute. He was not in good shape.
He found the his cell phone. Well, the cell phone that he had. It was lying shattered in pieces on the floor where he had previously talked to his friend. He went to pick up the phone for the house but it had no signal. Someone must have left the phone off of the hook earlier that evening. The only thing he could think to do is walk home.
He went into the road and saw a car was coming. He didn’t care. He wanted to go home. However, he soon realized the car wasn’t going to move for him, and he was almost run over. He fell into the road and scraped his arms and legs.
It was at this time he realized how sad and different the night had turned out to be. Then he started to cry. A horrendous cry that could be heard all around. He then heard the chimes of church bells. It was midnight. 12am.
It was Sunday morning and John was cold, violated, battered, and bruised.
It was time to go home, but he would never be the same.
