A woman haggard and dressed in a ripped cloak scudded along the dark floor. The embers of the fire struggled to stay aglow. The woman tossed something on the flames, and in a flash the fire was alive again. The old woman closed her eyes and began to chant.
"Xypho afton exousia Thea apo arthro nychta!" The women smiled as the smoke snaked around her face.
"It is done . . . "
