I Accept

Destiny

It chose me

This is not what I asked for

But I can’t escape it

Fate

Fighting it

Is only prolonging the inevitable

My predetermined future

Forges a path

That I am forced to follow

A path on which you cannot accompany me

A path that I must walk alone

Evidently we were not meant to be

This is not my desire,

Not my dream

But I can’t ignore what was meant to be

I can’t disregard what is yet to come
