Mommy, can you hear me?

Daddy, are you there?

I'm lost

Deep inside this darkness

My body shakes with fear

There's something near

I'm scared

The darkness is frightening

My eyes strain in the black

There's a noise in the back

I jump

The sound is louder now

I curl up in my bed

Where will it tred?

Mommy, where are you?

Daddy, can you save me?

I'm alone

Huddled under my sheets

Trying to ignore the sounds

But all around they pound

I breathe

Trying to stay calm

Maybe they will leave

If only I could believe

I gasp

They're closer now

I can feel them all around

And in my fear... I drown

Mommy, don't you love me?

Daddy, don't you care?
