Dancing for Him

What is this song that awakens me?
I cannot keep still
And so
I rise with His morning
Slip off my clothes and your incredulity
And feeling the blackness between my toes
I breathe Him in and
D a n c e
For His eyes alone
Stare-glare-wonder!
At this fire inside me
Hear the pounding of my feet
Against the fertile soil
Wild and free – I dance for Him
There’s an unspoken hunger that gnaws your heart
As you watch me
Saying “Stop” – embarrassed for my undignity
And so I smile and hold out my hands
Can you see now?
Can you hear me shouting?
Come! I say, my boldness glistening in the sunlight
Dance with me!
