Give me a reason not to sleep,

Give me a reason not to sink below ground.

Does hope still remain?
Am I still searching in vein?
Is it lost in outer space?
Am I here so I can retrace?

I’ve grown tired,
I’ve become weary.
I feel like I am a thousand years old,
To weak to get out of bed

God-
I feel so dead.

Is it already too late?
Have I fallen so far that the light can’t shine through?
Where there is darkness there is hope,
But I think I am looking in the wrong direction,
And fallen victim to its bait

Is their truly love after death?
Is there life after rest?
Is it all just a big lie?
Just to help us die?

God-
