Fate twists itself around
And slides between my fingers
Makes me believe I made you happen
It lets your empty words linger

I have no depth perception
When it comes to the things you say
I could peer at my reflection in the well
Forever, as the clock counts down the day

Fate calls me but I answer to a dead line
Do I trust my words without its guiding hand?
You nod, you beckon, you encourage
Our conversation like music of an underground band

It’s times like these when
Your vocabulary embraces a thousand emotions
My eyes rise and my mouth wants to smile
Because of your breath in the midst of all the commotion

Fate, it keeps pulling rabbits out of hats
Waiting for the curtain of deception to be drawn
Instead it just saws me in half, and then
I find myself put back into one, walking on
