Please Read: This is loosely based off of the Ju-on movies from Japan. I do not own nor have I worked on it. The characters, except one, are copyright of me however and most of the story is part of my own ideas for making the Ju-on series a little more interesting. Again this is mostly an original story so please don’t complain that it doesn’t follow the real series.
Thank you.
Vector:
Vector stared out of the window then sighed. Rain pelted the glass for about the seventh day in a row. It was still bothering her that she left her friend in that house alone. But who knew if it was something controlling her or otherwise.
It had been about five months since that. Their boss from the service offices had been calling almost everyday asking what had happened and why they weren’t reporting for work. Vector had simply told him Espio was injured or sick, she forgot now, and that Vector had to help take care of her. But she could tell he didn’t by that lame-ass lie.
Kirara looked up from her light purple cat dish and mewed as Vector walked past her. It was strange not to have Espio around anymore. The apartment would’ve been louder that was for sure. Espio would listen to her damn stereo so loud, plus a lot of it was techno or rock. Vector stared at the counter then looked up to another one of the windows.
She hadn’t even been trying to help her friend out from that place. Kirara mewed again and hopped onto one of her shoulders and purred.
“What do you think? Should we try?” Vector asked.
Kirara meowed curiously then purred and seemed to smile.
“I remember a woman who worked at the center. She’s heavily into that Shinto stuff. I bet she can help.” Vector said before drinking some of her coffee.
Kirara meowed again.
……………
Vector shifted then pulled at her tank top as Kirara looked back at her.
“I have a feeling we’re gonna get hounded.” Vector brushed some hair behind her ear.
Kirara mewed then scrambled after her as she began to walk toward the front doors of the building.
“Where have you been?! I thought Espio was sick?” Their boss asked.
“I just came to talk to someone.” Vector replied.
“Who?”
“I’m not sure of her name. Is she in today?”
“Well who? There are a few woman who work here. You could be talking about anyone.” He said.
“She always wears a kimono. She pulls her hair back in a bun.” Vector demonstrated with her hair.
“Ohh. Her. I think she’s here today. She’s doing filing in the reception office.” He replied.
“Thanks Mr. Higurashi.” Vector walked toward the office.
Vector sat on the edge of a vacant desk and watched her scurrying back and forth with armfuls of papers.
“Can’t I talk to you for a second?!” Vector asked.
“In a minute.” She replied as she darted past.
Kirara’s eyes spun after watching her dart back and forth then she mewed and fell over with Vector catching her. Vector laughed softly and helped her kitty friend sit back up before she fell onto her other side and mewed flatly.
“Can’t you take a break?” Vector asked.
“In a minute, I promise, I’ll talk to you.” She answered.
Vector sighed and slid up onto the desk and crossed her legs as the woman kept darting back and forth with the papers slipping slightly each time.
“I guess this would be getting promoted? Looking like a mouse darting in a maze on caffeine?” Vector said quietly to Kirara.
Kirara meowed.
“I wanna trip her so bad, you have no idea. But that would be mean” Vector joked.
Vector then sighed and looked at the wall clock as it ticked steadily.
“Should’ve brought my mp3 player.” She muttered.
The woman then stopped at her desk and emptied the papers out of her arms.
“Are you on break yet Miss Toyama?” Vector asked.
“Hm? Yeah. What did you want to ask me?” The woman looked back.
She had the same magenta colored bangs with the rest of her hair jet black like Espio.
“You’re one of those Shinto-ists right?” Vector asked.
“Yes, why?”
“Do you know anything on exorcism rituals?” Vector kicked her upper foot slightly.
“A little. Why would you want to know about that?” She laughed slightly.
“Miss Toyama, can you help us then?” Vector asked.
“For now, call me Felicia.”
“Can you help us then Felicia?” Vector asked.
“I could try, but I’m not a priestess.” Felicia laughed.
Vector and Kirara looked at each other then smiled. At least it was a start on the road to helping Espio out of that place.
“Can you meet me after work?” Felicia asked.
“Sure.” Vector nodded.
----
Felicia stared up at the house then shuddered hard as Vector and Kirara stood beside her.
“What kind of place is this?” Felicia asked.
“It’s a house. It’s kinda got a tragic past.” Vector replied.
“I can feel that. You said your friend is in there?” Felicia asked.
“Yeah.”
“Hmm…well…I can feel something that’s for sure. A house with this aura will tear a pure soul limb from limb and poison it.” Felicia walked ahead.
“Creepy.” Vector said before following after her.
A figure looked down from one of the windows then walked away. Kirara mewed and looked up as Vector caught up to Felicia.
Vector pushed open the door then coughed as she was overwhelmed by dust.
“Your friend doesn’t move much does she?” Felicia waved her hand.
“I guess not.” Vector replied.
Felicia then shivered as they walked in.
“I just wonder. Does she want to be saved?”
“Hm?”
“Does she want to leave here I mean. I mainly feel a lot of hostility and I think she’s causing it.” Felicia said.
“I hope she does….” Vector sighed as she walked ahead down the hallway.
…
Vector was the first upstairs and led Felicia to what was her former room. Vector looked in the open doorway and saw nothing but scattered items. The way she’d left it. She then left the door and motioned for Felicia to follow her to another open room before she poked in seeing Espio seated at the window quietly.
“Espio?”
Espio looked at her then let out a deep sigh. Espio had turned the pink portion of her hair bright red and it was wilder looking. She was also dressed in black clothing. Form-fitting black clothing that Vector didn’t recognize.
“Espio, are you okay?” Vector asked softly as Felicia appeared behind her.
“I’m fine. You look like you’ve seen a ghost.” Espio smiled.
She sounded normal at least.
“I didn’t think you were still alive.” Vector snorted.
“Nice. Why’d you come back anyway?” Espio asked.
“I thought you’d need help.” Vector said worriedly.
“Why?”
“You were acting really strangely and bleeding. I think a doctor should look at you.” Vector replied.
Espio slid off the windowsill and walked toward Vector and Felicia.
“See? I’m fine.” Espio laughed.
Kirara meowed worriedly then backed up as a black cat jumped onto Espio’s shoulder. Vector gasped with Felicia nearly getting stepped on.
“It’s okay. I found him outside in the rain.” Espio scratched the cat behind one of his ears.
He looked like a normal cat. No red eyes and he wasn’t as scrawny as Miroko looked. Espio then looked behind Vector to Felicia.
“Who’s that?” Espio asked.
“Oh, this is Felicia. She wanted to help too. A few sutras may help the house.” Vector said.
“Oh, hello.” Espio said.
“Let’s go huh? This place is too creepy now.” Vector shivered after Felicia waved to Espio.
Both of them turned as Espio narrowed her eyes. The cat also growled and didn’t leave her shoulder as she followed after them.
