The winds of the world are all changing

We’re trapped and we cannot be freed.

Though try as we might at arranging our fates,

Chance will not resign nor recede.

Don’t look to the skies for the answers

When the earth will tell all if you hear.

From the Lords to the bards and the dancers

Your lives are all tied to the years.

Yet what if your strings could be broken?

On what would your mind then dwell?

Find heights that were formerly unspoken

Illusions removed like a spell.

There are so many rules to this life.

Break them.

How does it feel to be free?

Now see the knight in his armour?

Why does he stand there and serve?

For justice, revenge or for honour?

Or for coin does his loyalty swerve?

This life belongs to all creatures.

This life at some point will cease.

Do what you must for life’s treasures.

Do what you will for release.

Do not follow the rest in the circle.

Life is touched by remarkable flaws.

Walk away from the rest in their spirals.

Come now – walk out of the laws.
