I’m-Depressed-Because-She’s-Gone Poem
Leaves blowing dryly
Wind whistling through the chicken wire
Empty.
A trashcan topples over
Echoes rebound from the rusted benches
Empty.
The padlock is smashed
The gates creak wearily on broken hinges
Alone.
A/N: I know it’s short, but it took me the better part of a week to get it right and find the right words to convey the emotion. This was written because my friend was visiting. No, not because of the “visiting” part, because of the “was” part. I called it what I did for a reason, you know!
