The Awakening

A/N: I was inspired by a song with the same title. I don't mean to offend anyone, it's just my thoughts. Also, this is my first posted piece on this site, so I"m a little nervous

There was a time when all things were right in the world, when we all got along.

that time is gone

there was a time when the land was free, and the creatures free too

Man came with their dreams of heaven, and destroyed the only earth they'll ever know

and dreams were made and shattered in a single breath

no one is special, no one unique

They were all the children of God, made in his likeness

But then why did they cry?

Why could they bleed?

Once the apocalypse comes,

and it will

the earth shall reclaim what was always hers

though there will be no humans, no faces to watch

the rivers willl still flow down the mountain sides

and the wolves will still cry for a land they've never seen

and the moon will make her lonely journey across that now clear sky

and the stars will shine brighter through their tears at the second coming

of the world

A/N: Let me know what you thought of it please! Also if there are any stories you think I should read, please let me know
