Belief

How many times do we stray,

from the this path?

Meant to lead us straight,

only to pull us aside.

I see you, always hopeful

always wishing,

praying,

only to see you lose.

And I question your trust,

your faith,

your endless need to believe

Only to see

I question this all in me,

Ashamed I turn, guilty.

The invisible tears flow freely inside.

We may yet walk straight

I heard you say

So I continue

hoping these silent wishes

will not fall on deaf ears

He knows best you say

and I believe.
