The True King

Rohan falls,

Gondor’s next,

Elves abandon

The ring’s quest.

Orcs are near,

Sting is blue,

Children crying,

Hobbits too,

Should I say

I am their king?

Should I offer

To take the ring?

Saruman’s forces

Are ready to fight.

Darkness is quickly

Encompassing light.

Moria gone,

Shire dead,

Middle Earth falling

To Sauron in dread.

There is one to unite them,

To save all the lands,

Though he is not elven nor hobbit

but man.

Am I the one?

I am

The son of Arathorn,

But am I
Strider or Aragorn?
