Feeling Convoluted

A movie plays full of action and risk

Explosions burst upon the screen

Yet the volume fades into the background

Where all I can hear is you breathing

But then you speak

And break my daydream

Saying something about the movie

That seems oh so trivial

I look into your eyes

And quickly glance away

It eludes me why

I cannot look at you

This bothers me so much

That I pretend to watch the screen

Is there something in your love

That I just cannot accept?

Forgive me for being so convoluted

I do not know what my eyes can tell you

One moment I love you

The next I am second guessing it is true

All I know is that

I love being with you

Talking with you

Even standing right beside you

But who am I to use the word love?

Love cannot be defined

Yet that is what I’m searching for

Someone to tell me how I feel
