Midnight Sea

The moonlit ocean,

Echoes the tide,

Swift and silent,

Does the water stride…

Black-pearl surface,

Calm and serene,

Cold and frigid,

And yet so sheen…

Under surface,

Creatures lurk,

Hidden in darkness,

Living in murk…

The sea of midnight,

Oblivious to light,

Echoing once more…

In the middle of night.
