I Long For

I once knew a love,

Whose effect was so grand,

The light would dim,

Just to touch her face.

And from within her fey touched visage,

Pearls smiled back at me,

And my heart would sink to the ocean,

For I knew it was I she longed for.

By darkened orbs of earthen tone,

My soul was stolen true,

Lament I did not its loss,

For it had found its destined home.

So this love I will need for,

Lest it returns to me before long,

And in her absence I will be lost,

Till to me she does return.
