You Broke Yourself
By: Lai

Scream out your pain,
Into this nice red sweater,
Either way, it's all the same,
Cause you won't make it better.

You used to sing me to sleep,
Now you just scream me a song,
I can't hear that melody,
But I'm still humming along.

What happened to that time machine,
That you built when you were six?
Please skip this, I dont like this scene,
I just want you to be fixed.

I really want to go back in time,
To that one year before you forgot how to smile,
When everything was perfectly fine,
Cause I know it won't be like that for a while.

Please fix yourself for me,
I really want to see those eyes again,
Blue, sparkling and pretty,
Just like they were when you were just ten.
