Infinite loop

Walking in the rain again,
Thinking the same thoughts,
I always return to this...
Why can’t I escape?

Thinking of us in the rain,
As I did before,
As I will again,
When the water closes over me.

I need something new,
Someone else,
A distraction perhaps,
A tiny obsession?

I want to change,
Just a little,
Change my views
To find changed lands.

I’m getting old,
Getting boring,
Repeating myself,
It’s been this way so long.

I need help,
Break me out,
Give me breath
That I might live again.
