November

Can barely open my eyes,

Sun, euphoric rays beating, baking, blinding...

Love, euphoric waves changing, embracing, blinding

I've found my place beneath your shining glow

Transfixed, gentle breeze, whipping softly through the grass

Sweet memories of what was and what can never be

Blinding sunlight above sweep me off my feet

so that I may tumble like the wind upon the sweet dry grass

So warm a day for November. I put up my hair,

golden strands soaking in your light, warm delight

Take off your masks, ghouls, goblins, ghosts

All hallows eve is past

Still the ghosts, like fond memories of yesteryear

dance in the shadows

Waiting to be discovered in the blinding sunlight

Winter is near, yet the day is warm and comforting

And with the memory of this November day,

the cold cannot chill us again
