I'm actually really happy with this song, though it remains somewhat tuneless.... And I must give credit to my dear friend Rachel (a.k.a. Eresteizulim, a.k.a. LlaMa) for the phrase "toxic euphoria." And so I dedicate this song to her. Grin

As an uninspired misanthrope
In the school play
I’ve never known a quieter complaint
than “my eyes are stones”
But this was a good friend’s death wish
and I wonder why she never told me in words
of her own splashing instability

EXPLODE
Shatter my perpetual smile
The immeasurable space consumed by my toxic euphoria
Bomb my physical beauty
(So I won’t be happy but at least I’ll be inspired)

Wish (that) I could talk
Use the cotton gag to my advantage like a Marlon Brando clone,
Forever my toxic inspiration;
I don’t think I can handle the separation
Of leg-from-leg and eye-from-eye
I was taught to trust no-one
Took lessons in shoving flowers down my enemy’s throat.

EXPLODE
Shatter my perpetual smile
The immeasurable space consumed by my toxic euphoria
Bomb my physical beauty
(Sure I’ll be heartbroken but there’ll be no more sugar tears)

Last night left me a psychological bruise
The paint wept beside me in the heat of the day
I may fall asleep leaking tears
But at least now I’m allowed to Sleep

There is no reason for my heartache
There is no reason for my screams
No more inhaling/exhaling tear gas
Mask shattered beside my toxic euphoria

EXPLODE
Tear away my normality
Stomp on my insistent happiness
Shoot my choking laughter
Shatter my perpetual smile
The immeasurable space consumed by my toxic euphoria
Bomb my physical beauty
(But I can’t erase the chains)
