Do you understand me when I speak,
Or do you just hear a mess?
Do you understand my written word,
Or does it make sense even less?

I don’t know why you don’t understand me;
We speak the same language, I don’t live in a tree,
The words I use aren’t hard to understand
So you even hear the words I say?

I think you take the words I say
And twist they round some other way
So to make me say what I never said.
And mean what I never meant.
