Glass Angel;

When you look in my eyes

What do you see?

Do you see a dark moonbeam?

It seems so to me.

Outside I am happy

With not of a care

No assuming I’m like this.

It’s not really there.

My pain is like storm clouds.

The thunder claps hard.

I’ve lost all my dealings.

I’ve lost every card.

And I see the future

Not yours, though, just mine.

It’s not very pretty

What I thought I’d find.

Do you see what’s happening?

What you’ve done to me?

What you did to hurt me!

To make me cry a sea!

At night I’m surrounded.

By rains, how they drone.

Barricaded, I could not

Be more alone.

So before you see me

Walking here with my disguise

Remember here to do just this:

To see with open eyes.

But I’m no Glass Angel.

I’m sure I will live.

I wish you’d be kinder

Your friendship, would you give?

I’m not perched all pretty

Fancy, shiny, with bright eyes blue.

If I look sad, well, it’s because

For some time I’ve missed you.

Dedicated to one of my closest friends. Yes, Willeeee, that means you...
