The day is freezing,

Yet it continues to rain,

An ice cold drizzle,

When will it be through,

This rain that never ceases,

When will it be over,

The leaves are drowning,

Those that couldn’t turn around,

When will the rain cease,

And allow the ground,

Time to dry and grow green plants,

To prepare once more,

For the coming rain,

That will drown the earth again,

When will the rain cease?
