Sting of Ignorance

Nothing, nothing in darkness amuses
filling you with hysterical uses
Do you not understand their pain
when they think they have nothing to gain

To laugh is to condemn
allows their pain to stem
from the shunning of society
from people like you and me

You laugh while I cry
I speak honesty while you lie
This, this is why in darkness they reside
why in the night they hide

Why, why are we afraid of what
we do not understand?
