Amy tells him that she likes him. The boy is stunned and leaves her be. The next few weeks, he ignores her. Amy feels scared and unwanted. She leaves her friends and goes on to new ones, thinking she could make a new path. Amy starts to wear dark clothing. She doesn't dress like a gothic, she just wears dark shirts and long sleeves.
Soon half the grade thinks she's gothic. The boy is scared of her. Amy is even more sad and tries to wear lighter clothing.
Amy goes into high school. She thinks she has a brand new slate for her. Then, Amy begins to notice a new boy, but she doesn't want to tell because she is afraid of being rejected again. So then, this boy gets a girlfriend. Amy is sad. She doesn't know what to do anymore.
If she tells, she'll get broken.
If she doen't, she'll get even more broken.
Amy can't tell her friends who she likes because she doesn't know who to trust anymore. The first boy still ignores her, the second is friendly, but not all the time.
Amy is confused. The second boy is friendly to her at times, but then he is suddenly cold to her the next day. Hurting, Amy doesn't know what to do. She's sad now.
Amy likes a third boy. He is funny and nice to her. She knows he likes her friend, though. As much as he hates to admit. When her friend is there, the boy is all around her friend and barely noticing her. When her friend leaves, the guy suddenly talks to Amy.
Amy thinks all boys are a mystery.
Amy is in collage. She has a boyfriend who loves her very much. Her boyfriend is the third boy she had a crush on in high school. Amy is happy that he chose her. One day, when Amy comes to her apartment, she finds her boyfriend and her friend doing things.
Amy slams the door and runs.
Amy feels a weight in her heart. She feels sick and vomits on the sidewalk. Stumbling, she made her way towards a near by bar and orders her first drink.
Amy meets a man in the bar. He is older then her and small hairs on his chin. The man orders Amy a few more rounds. Soon, Amy is drunk as she leans on the man's shoulder for balance. A few minutes later, Amy is on the sidewalk in an alley and the man is hovering over her. Amy screams.
Amy wrestels the man off of her, but the man is too strong. A few minutes later, Amy is scarred and left on the sidewalk. Grabbing her clothes, and clumsingly putting them on, Amy runs to her apartment and fiddles with her keys. She pauses however, remembering the events happening on the other side of the door. Amy is scared.
Amy knows that the obvious thing to do was open up the door, but Amy can't do that, She doesn't know why, but she can't. So, Amy runs away again. As the rain starts to pour down on her, she runs into someone, and unexpected someone.
The first guy she ever had a crush on.
Amy noticed how the guy aged. He grew taller and older, but she knows it's him. He knows it's her as well. He holds up the umbrella over them as she starts to cry into his shirt. He notices the bruises on her arms and takes her straight to the police. Amy explains how the rapist looked like while holding the guy's hand. The police nods and tells her she can leave.
