Devoid of emotion.
And how does life seep through
Your concrete, silent
Veins?

Divine?
How do prayers enter
Your solid ears and
Stony skull.

Great glory embedded in your
Lifeless body –
Do they believe?

Faith?Mine is as hard as
The statue
And you shall not topple it
With words.

Who is it you represent?
They do not know.
They see an emptiness in your
Stone heart
And do not comprehend
Your grace.

Your statue is not important
To me.
Those innocent hands and
Feet with human-driven
Pain.
I only need to know
Your name.

Your counterpart in Heaven
Is divine to me.
