I wrote this poem for a special friend who I really care. I hope that this will make her realized that the world is not against her. I'm really sorry if my words hurt you, but I really, really need to unload this. Dear friend, I really cared for you but you attitude is really suffocating me right now. I hope you understand, as it's not easy for me to say this to you too. This poem contains seven stanza, four lines in each stanza.
Strangers a long time ago,
Things are always changing,
I hope our friendship don’t.
But lately I have been noticing,
You have been acting like a hypocrite,
You clinged on to me tightly,
Suffocating me, I might say.
Growing up is never easy,
I understand that and so do you,
The journey is not always a bed of roses,
Always filled with bumps and scratches.
I hope you will understand that,
I will always try to be there for you,
But you also need to know that,
I need a space on my own too.
I know you are hurt,
I know you might be lonely,
I know you are troubled,
But the world still doesn’t revolve around you only.
You need to realize,
There’s still sunshine in this world,
You need to realize,
Gloom only seeps in if you let them.
Life may seemed harsh to you,
But you still need to be optimistic,
If only you will change your gloomy way,
You will see that things might not be so bad after all.
