Hope the formatting on this isn't all screwy. Sorry if it is.
I've been circulating this poem for years, showing it to friends and co-workers and whatnot. It was inspired by my kitty, who at 11 years old, still humps the living daylights out of my stuffed teddy bear, despite his bad joints. Hard to believe I'm a published poet, eh? I may put my real poems up soon. Enjoy!
Cummy Bear
I walked into my bedroom,
And do you know what I saw?
The cat and my poor teddy,
I just stared and watched in awe.
I gasped and then he saw me,
He stopped dead in his tracks,
Gave me a 'who cares' look,
And got on my teddy's back.
The room got kinda fuzzy,
All I saw was teddy's hair,
And ever since that happened,
He's been known as Cummy Bear.
