Black Cloud

(Ecclesiastes 7:29), (2 Peter 1:4)

Our generation…

(Consumed with hate and lies)

(Hardened hearts and empty lives)

From every nation…

(Relies on drugs and crime)

(Booze and sex for a “good time”)

CHORUS:

There’s a black cloud

That corrupts our generation

What may look cool now

Leaves you empty within

We must somehow

Stop this moral deterioration

This black cloud casts a shadow of sin…

There’s a black cloud

That destroys our generation

We must act now

Or it will pull us in

We must look to

The God of all Creation

Or we’ll get lost in the whirlwind…

Look all around you…

(Do you think that what you see)

(Is the way it’s supposed to be?)

See it surround you?...

(Has it been blocking your view)

(Of what is and isn’t true?)

BREAK

The world over…

(The overcast has spread)

(Like a tumor in our heads)

But this isn’t over…

(We must fight for what is right)

(So that they can see The Light)

CHORUS

BREAK

INTERLUDE:

There’s a black cloud!!!

(That brings down this generation)

‘Cause what seems cool now!!!

(Annihilates your soul)

We must somehow!!!

(Free the people of every nation)

(Before this black cloud takes its toll)

There’s a black cloud!!!

(That poisons this generation)

We must act now!!!

Yeah!!! (And fight against its pull)

We’re gonna tell you!!!

(That this is our mission)

(We’ve got to give Christ control)

BREAK
