Future's Impossible Lesson

by fabian cortez

I watch a sunrise

O' glorious to behold

In envy; no admiration

I stare without tired

View as hours pass

To see such

Blossoms open

Allowing rays of

Light & warmth

To quench their

Thirst

-

In moments I wonder

At such rapid movements

Of youth; to cry before

Settling down to

Soak up knowledge

& love given

So freely

-

Often times, unobserved

I have watched in

Awe, as dedication

To one another intrinsic

Passed; to spend times

Of fatigue as one

Together

Content

-

I wish I could understand

Yet I never will

So strange to feel

Anything at all

I have to recharge

Now whilst

Waking hours

Pass you guard

Yourselves
