Hold death in your hand,

Wonder how it got this way.

Trembling, shiver at the coldness

That lingers in your mind, supreme;

God despises those who pray

Cold steel to your heart,

Biting like the chill of frost,

Shaking, sobbing out in silence

Like emptiness is part of you;

No one seeks out one who’s lost

Think of summer and the sounds

Dancing light harsh in your eyes.

No one ever understood the beauty

In the piercing of every thought.

Learn to revel and live through the lies.

Silent now and count to three,

Maybe soon you’ll fall asleep.

Push the pain away for ever

And wait for eternity to come

There’s no rising, Pheonix, so sleep.

No ashes wait to embrace you

When slumber comes so violently.

Don’t cry out loud, or make a sound

Let fire bring and not awake

Sleep eternal silently.

Pheonix welcomes eternity.
