My View On Poetry

they say to be a poet, you must read and rewrite.

Well that's certainly not me, I'm not a stereotype.

I write a poem, and leave it alone.

Keep it original, Keep it my own.

I care about my work, it's not that I don't.

I just write it and leave it to whatI originally want.

It's not perfect, and it's not the best.

But it's my all, so it passes the test.

It's not an allstar, it's not number one,

but I am satisfied whenI am done

for I know this work is purely mine.

And perfect or not, I think original is fine.

I might not be a poet, but I write in rhyme.

Just reading my words makes my eyes shine.

Each and every individual who tries

should let their mind and their heart fly.

Poetry is my world, my peice of mind.

I never know just what I might find.

But through words is how you learn about me.

And that's how i feel about poetry.
