As if the glow wasn't enough

from a dreadfully bright moon

there were stars to befriend

or scorn for moving.

It was obvious they shifted

the left was closer to the right

even the moon followed suit

winking with its cat eyes.

It couldn't have been the earth

that shifted so much to notice

the stars in another place

without feeling a single shake.

But they look happy now

even though happy before

while staring back at nothing

except for a traquil host.
