I wonder if it’s normal when you can’t tell dreams from reality. Is any of this for real…or not?

I swear Cara was there….I know she was there. There’s no doubting this. Her comforting hugs, and her kind words…those could have been a figment of my imagination…It just couldn’t…

Yet it must be. There’s no doubting that no one can see her. She’s only like a whispy figment to me anymore. When I speak of my fond memories for her, my parents glare in disproval and embarrassment. Like I’ve shamed them in some way…

But I know she’s real. I don’t know if I could live if she wasn’t…My best friend…Just a shadow?

It seems impossible, but all clues point to this undeniable fate. My friends and family’s inability to see her….the cold breeze that seemed to chill me to the last bone in my body when she was around.

All I have to say is: Why me?
