Broken Dreamer

I used to be a shining mirror,
Reflecting...
Dreams...
Dreams of the future.
Now I am shattered,
Of what I once was,
And what I used to be.
Shards that reflect,
Shards that make up,
Memories I cannot forget.
Of what I tried to be,
Memories that still linger.
Reflecting what represents,
Who I am.

I used to be a dreamer,
But it was not to be.
I now to gaze into my reflections,
Reflecting how everything...
Came to not.

I used to see a light,
An open door.
Illuminating...
Reflecting...
Mirroring that of me.
Revealing that although,
Its too late for a dreamer.
To grasp what,
I will never hold.
Only to persist,
And to assist,
Trying to achieve the dreams,
Of another dreamer.

It never was to be,
For a Broken Dreamer
