She sleeps, sweetly dreaming

He’s awake, quietly scheming.

She sees sugar plum fairies dancing

He sees another for midnight romancing

She’s ignorant of his two faces

Up and down, his pulse it races

In her mind, he’s the perfect one.

One more time, then he’s done

She awakens in the early morning

He lays sleeping, quietly snoring
