Night of the Vampire
Chapter: Midnight Visit

A silver moon rose high into the darkened sky. Illuminating and eerie, it cast silver rays down onto the darkness of a blacked out city. The howl of a wolf rose into the air following the moon, the melody of the wind through metal chimes filling the air. A silk blood stained curtain flowed out an opened balcony.

A dark shadow loomed just in front of the opened doors, tall and powerful his form was silhouetted against the pale moons light. He moved gracefully, and with such speed the air around him seemed to ripple. He crept up to the edge of a bed, his body casting a shadow down onto the bed and its occupant.

Instinct caused fear to tremble though the sleeping body, a heavy slumber thrown into a light doze. An unseen aura of evil filled the room and slashed the air with silent whips. Soft doe brown eyes opened, a sleepy intelligence filled behind them as they blinked. Then with a shiver of unknown fear the woman’s breath hitched in her throat. She found herself frozen- paralyzed and unable to turn over to look at the owner of the shadow that was cast over her body.

Long brown hair-streaked red cascaded over silk black sheets. Sexy yet intelligent eye glasses where set on a nightstand beside the bed. The hands of a wind up clock ticked before the woman’s blurred vision. It seemed like an eternity- but her half blind eyes seen only 5 minutes had passed since she had woken.

The vampire moved then, silently he sat on the edge of her bed- instinct again caused the woman let out a whimper. She felt coldness run over her bare arm, and long icy fingers wrap themselves around her hand. She was powerless as the vampire turned her to face him; she seen only shadows over a porcelain white face; and eyes, as red as two ruby’s watched her with a tactful passion.

Her doe eyes opened wider as she felt a cold tingle spread over her body- and she seen a shadow looming directly over her body now. She felt something akin to a soft wind brushing against her lips, leaving a pleasant tingle behind in its wake; she felt these same sensations travel away from her lips, down her chin, over her jaw line. A brief encounter of a smooth hand tilted her head back, the icy sensations continued under her chin, and down over her neck.

She felt moist warmth run over her neck then, lingering in one spot with a lovers caress; it dawned on her slowly what that feeling was- a tongue, and it belong to the creature over her. Her paralyzed mind told her to scream, told her to panic, but she was lost to reason.

With an unconscious moan, she tilted her neck further back, giving the vampire complete access to her throat. Obliging to the giving skin, the woman felt more icy brushes akin to wind dance over her neck, then down to her collar bone. ‘Who… are you…’ She felt her lips move, her breaths whispered softly, slowly. Her paralyzed body unable to focus on anything but her question…

Flash back Vespira

“Hey Tom, I’ll see you Monday!” A voice called softly to a male nurse who peaked out from a patient’s room. “Alright Ves, later.” He replied as his head ducked back into the room.

With a smirk on her lips, brown hair flying around her shoulders, a young woman stepped out the back entrance of an old hospital. Her head lowered against the hard winter wind. The red fur collar of her knee length black jacket was pulled tight to keep away the chill. Her hands covered with leather gloves she briefly looked up at the night, she seen the clouds part and the moon slowly rising of the horizon.

Momentarily mesmerized she watched it slowly slip higher; but she was startled from her thoughts an animalistic snarl filled the air. She heard the fight before she seen it, She heard the shred of leather; she heard the found of a body connecting with solid concrete. She heard the rabid snarls of a wild animal.

Instinct told her to run away, curiosity made her turn and walk towards the sounds. Her hand went under her coat and pulled her gun from its holster down the back of her pants. With a dead steady grip she came to an ally the sounds of the fight growing louder in her ears. When she slipped around the opening she gasped silently at the scene before her.

Though unnatural darkness she could barely make one the outline of a wild creature; what appeared to be a large dog pinning a fallen man to the ground. The animal’s jaws struggling against the man’s hold on its skull, the animal’s fangs trying to reach the man’s neck to crush it; the man’s grip holding the beast at bay for the moment.

She aimed her gun, and fired. A yelp sounding the air after the blast, she seen the creature leap backwards off of the man in blur shat she couldn’t follow. She didn’t even see the man stand up, but suddenly he was standing less then a foot away with his back turned to her. He scanned the darkness, a deadly silence looming around.

She had just opened her mouth to speak when she heard the crushing of stone under claws, and barely followed the blur of actions before her. She seen the man leap forward and through the shadows she seen a hunched figure. Her mind reared with confusion as she watched the man pull out daggers from his long coat.

She watched two black blurs in the darkness leap at each other. She heard another yelp, she heard blood spatter the ground- and she heard a set of bones breaking with an impact into the wall. Suddenly she seen the man held against the wall by the hunched over creature she watched the man jab a dagger deep into his captors stomach.

She watched the creature howl and leap backwards in a blurry movement and suddenly turn to her. She backed up, her gun help out unsteady, but her mind reared with fear- the creature, it looked like a wolf now… but…yet human… Suddenly it dawned on her ‘werewolf.’

She felt her breath hitch in her throat as the creature jerked towards her its shadow looming over her, fangs bared as it was seconds from snatching away her life. She tightened her hand on her gun and fired once. The beast jerked to a halt in a yelp. She fired twice; he leaped back, the bullet grazing his neck. She fired thrice and he leaped back into the shadows.

Suddenly she felt another shadow over her, and she was unable to move her hand, unable to breath. This shadow paralyzed her with a cold far more icy then the temperature. It filled her with a forbidding sense of doom- of death. She felt something whisper into her ear, she jerked away not know how close the shadow really was. She felt cold hands wrap around her own, lowering her gun and taking it from her.

She felt the shadow wrap its arm around her and suddenly, she felt nothing but weightlessness, she seen the city fall below her body. She gasped shocked at the bitter winds that snatched away her warmth.

Suddenly she was falling, and then she was on a roof top. But she did not stay there long as suddenly she found herself on a different roof top, her eyes wide in a paralyzing panic that she was unable to process what was happing around her.

It was only till she stood on the roof of an old clock tower, and things stopped flying by her that she slowly realized what had happened. She felt the coldness she was warped around untangle from her and step back; she slowly turned to face a shadow of a man.

She tried to squint through the darkness around the man; she tried to look at his face. But the darkness the blanketed his features eluded her human vision. She noticed how tall he stood, low spiked black hair fanning out over ruby red eyes. She blinked tilting her head to one side. The longer she stared at him, the more nervous she got, the more anxiety crawled up from her gut trying to tear her apart.

But, she found herself unable to drop her gaze. He stood there so silent, void of any movement. She felt his eyes roam over her body and then she heard a fluttered voice blow through the air and wrap around her body, weakening her knees. “Foolish mortal…
Now he’ll be after your life…”

She felt her eyes slid to his, there gazes locking. A soft tingle ran down her back, and suddenly she found herself drawn to him. She stepped towards him, her movements slow and lagged, like the force of gravity had just doubled on her. She watched his head slowly lower to keep there eyes locked. When she was but an arms length from him, his eyes widened and he jumped backwards landing on all fours, his head lowering and his bangs covering his eyes. The darkness over his body thickened so she could now only see his outline. “My eyes… Do not look at them.” He whispered into the wind harshly.

”Why… There beautiful…” She heard herself respond, her lips moving with out her mind’s consult. She was more then surprised when he raised his head and gazed at her thoughtfully. “Surely you are not oblivious to what I am…” He hissed through unseen fangs, causing her to stop and think. “Well... I’d suggest Demon… But yet- no… Your much more the that…” she whispered to her self, her feet bringing her to stand in front of him, her knees falling as she kneeled now.

She slowly slipped her gloves off and lifted a hand slowly, as if trying not to scare him off. She slowly reached towards him, her fingers brushing his chin lightly. She tilted his head up and, at that simple touch his shadows fell away. She ran her fingers over his white skin, the pads of her pointer and index fingers brushing across his lips and stopped, resting there. “You’re a vampire…” She said with a pleased smile- as if she had just guessed the secret of life.

She watched those ruby red eyes blink with immortal intelligence. She watched him study her face and then his eyes locked to hers again. She felt another shiver pass through her body, this one more intense then the last. Her breath hitched n her throat and she fought to keep her eyes open, fought to keep down a moan.

She watched him stand, and draw her up with him with an icy touch of his hand. She let her hand fall from his lips, her fingers running over his chin and down his chest. She felt cold fingers wrap around her hand. She watched as he took her hand and placed it over where she guessed was his heart, pressing her palm flat over his chest. “Do you feel that?” he whispered as he drew her close against his body, his head lowering to her ear.

She blinked, and raised her head to try look into his eyes again. She knew what she should have felt- but then; she remembered he wasn’t human, so why should she feel a heart beat? He drew her closer, and waited. ‘Listen…’ he whispered with voice soft as silk.

A sense of forbidding creped into her body and brought a shiver over her- this time she shivered from the cold. Where she should have heard the constant beat of a heart- she did not. But yet- there was something, a something that was akin to a hum of power, soft and vibrant; alluring and attractive, a sound that almost mimicked the content purr of a kitten.

She then noticed something- he breathed. Or at least his chest moved slightly, but not in the way a human breathed mind you. It felt like a pulse or a wave, a smooth swaying wave that sucked air into his body and then slowly turned it around and swayed it back out; his chest showing these actions.

She found herself clinging to his chest and her own breathing become hard- for the simple reason she could not mimic his. It was bizarre and creepy, being held in the arms of a creature that did not have a beating pulse or solid breathing. It was human nature for your heart and lungs to adapted to the breathing and heart beat of some one when you where close to them and content. But it screwed around and messed with your heard when you couldn’t mimic neither heart nor breathing.

With a murmured sigh she found her arms wrapping under his long coat and around his waist. Her hands ran up his bare back and traced the indent of his spine. She was unnerved by the fact all of his body was cold, she had found his skin held no warmth. Then- as if trying to warm him she pulled herself closer into him her head burying into his bare chest.

The vampire gazed down at the female in his arms, head tilted as he watched her snuggle closer into his body. He suddenly became aware of the soft flakes of snow that settled in around them, and the moon that had disappeared behind grey clouds. He suddenly noted that the human he held shivered. ‘Cold… She’s cold…’ He shouldn’t have cared in the least, but he found himself pulling the human into his arms tightly; holding her against the frosty wind as he leaped over the edge of the old clock tower.

He landed softly on a roof of a house, and then lifted off again, landing swiftly this time on a high telephone poll. He leaped again and this time he landed in front of an old church; its bell tower high into the rough winds that’s hurled about now. He tightened his grasp on the human he held, she was shivering more now.

He leaped off the ground once more, landing on the slanted roof of the church. Swiftly he slipped into an open stone window. Snow already built up over its ledge and far into the room. He made his way down a coiling stone stairs. His foot steps light and silent, where a humans would have echoed for eternity.

He swept like a shadow across a dark room, his graceful long strides bringing him to a fire place. Carefully he set the woman on the ground, watching her automatically curl up into a ball to trying warm herself. Looking away he waved his hand at the fireplace- instantly the old logs leapt alive with a crackling fire. Then with a thoughtful glance at the human he swirled off into the shadows.

She tried to breathe, slowly, her breaths puffing back out in clouds of frozen carbon dioxide. She shivered again, her eyes fluttering shut as she slowly ran her hands over her legs, hips, chest, shoulders and arms; trying to warm her body with little result. Suddenly as if just noticing the fire she crawled closer to it, huddling as close to the dancing flames as she dared. She was unaware of anything but the darkness that crept up in her mind- telling her she should sleep.

“I wouldn’t do that…” A voice whispered silkily in her ear, she startled and her head jolted up as she looked around. She felt a blanket being wrapped around her body, and she watched the vampire back away from her then, as if wary of her. She looked at him from under drooped eye lids, and watched his ruby eyes glinting from the fire light; she watched the licking shadows of the flames dance over his body, creating an even more isolated yet alluring presence about him.

She suddenly remembered how cold he had felt, and acting on there own her arms opened, and she extended them out to him. Looking like a child that was asking to be lifted up into someone’s arms. She watched the vampire raise an eye brow at her. Watch that sexy smooth mouth of his pull in a small smirk at her- but he wouldn’t move.

She felt the blanket around her slither off her shoulders, and she shivered despite herself. Her arms still hanging open as she waited. She watched the smirk on his face slide into a frown, and then the frown in a scowl. “I’ll only make you colder…” she heard his voice swirl into the air and wrap around her- she shivered again, but not from the cold this time. But, the vampire noted the stubbornness, how she just stared at him with those sleepily doe eyes. He knew she wanted to be warm- but yet she just extended her arms like that… Welcoming him, a ‘vampire’ to her…

He sighed, a sound akin to the rustle of leaves in an autumn wind. He pushed himself from the wall beside the fireplace; his long strides bringing him to the young woman. He looked down at her with ruby eyes glinting softly. Then as if not sure what to do he stood there watching her. Her arms still extended as if waiting from him to fall into her and her ready to catch him and hold him forever…

He kneeled before her slowly, cautiously. His eyes watched her every movement as she leaned forward, her arms wrapped around him and tried pulling him into her. He hesitated at first, and then with a genital tug he let the woman pull him into her arms and wrap herself around him. He felt her lay her head to his chest, felt her wrap her legs around his and contently sigh.

He blinked, starring down into a mess of brown and red hair. His arms awkwardly folding around the woman who in return tilted her head upward and gazed at him with half closed sleepy eyes. He felt her shiver again; one arm unraveling from the woman he tugged the blanket up around them, making sure to tuck her into his body so no air could latch her heat.

He felt her breathing slow, and her heart beat slower. He heard her sigh into his chest, and felt the warm air dance over his bare skin. He noticed suddenly that it was rather pleasant, sitting with this young woman wrapped around him. He gazed into the flames now- he watched their leaping dancing.

He felt the human shift against him, realizing that she might be more comfortable laying down he stretched out on the floor and felt her murmur a soft sound. It sounded like a sigh- but, yet it sounded like a moan? He blinked but thought nothing more of it as he starred into the flames.

Slowly he realized something, he felt different. Not in an unpleasant way, or anyways dislikeable. It reminded him of something he had long forgotten, something he had never had in ages. He didn’t know what to name it; he wasn’t even sure what it was. But it started where the woman was pressed flush against his chest and sped outwards. Down to there entangled legs, then back up and into his arms that where wrapped around the woman’s waist.

What he felt was warmth, the sweet, innocent warmth of two bodies wrapped in each other before the blazing fire of an old church fireplace during an icy blizzard…

“What is your name…” He whispered softly into the brown hair the tickled his neck, his hand moved from her waist and softly traced the outline of her face. “…Who are you…” His fingers ran down her neck slowly, and then they felt a metallic chain. Curiosity getting the better of him, he tilted his neck over her head and looked down at it. Engraved in swirling hand writing was the most beautiful name he had ever seen, ‘Vespira’.

Softly he lowered his lips to her ear, his now warm breath dancing over her face and softly playing with few messy tendrils of her red-brown hair. “Vespira… It is a great pleasure… My name is Phantom…’ he paused, the hand he had on her neck moving up her cheek to run over her hair in a loving gesture. ‘Sleep in peace… I will guard your Dreams…’ he spoke softly to the sleeping woman, his voice swirled in a silky voice. He moved his head and nuzzled into her neck, breathing in her rich aroma of lavender, and then his warm breath danced out through his lips and over her neck.

End flash back

”You know who am I am…” She heard a voice, soft as silk murmur into her ear. She felt warm puffs of breath danced over her neck. She only then noticed that the shadow of a figure had pulled the silk sheets off her body, and was currently straddling itself over her hips.

She felt wind brush against her neck, but this time it lingered slower- and suddenly she noticed it wasn’t cold- they where hot; each brush betting warmer, and slowing down. With the increasing warmth she felt her panic die away. Her mind unthawed from fright and exploded with the sensitivity of her body.

She felt the warmth stop at her collar bone, she arched her back and threw her head back into her pillow and crushed her pelvis upwards. She saw white flash in her eyes, her mind burning incoherently at the now scorching hot warmth that was dancing over her body; pressing and caressing every sensitive spot she had with an unnatural heat. Her breath hitched in her throat she reached forward suddenly and her sweating palm pressed against a burning hot face.

The shadows swirled away from the man over her, she seen black hair falling over ruby red eyes. She saw porcelain a white face looking down at her with maddening passion; his eyes darkening to a more maroon, brownish red. They darkened in the intensity of the emotion he housed. “Phantom..?” She whispered softly, her voice rough from the emotion that was placed on her.

”Yes, Vespira?” He purred, his hade lowered as he nuzzled his head into her neck.
“You…. Came back… I thought…” she left her thought unfinished as she felt a searing warmth claim her mouth, her head forced back into her pillow; her lips slowly forced open as the pressure grew with the heat. She found herself with her hands weaved into his hair; her legs wrapped up around his body that was hovering carefully above her. She pulled him down against her, feeling the blazing hot skin of his body even through her thin nightgown. She felt one his hands slip under her neck and pulled her head up crushing his burning hot mouth onto hers.

The vampire pulled back suddenly his head tilted back as his fangs slid from his top lip and he hissed into the air. His eyes darkened into a blackness of heat, and longing. He looked back down at her. “I want- no… I need to taste every inch of you… You’re a feast... I could not stay away.” He lowered his head to her neck, his fangs brushing against her now, making her shiver as he ever so lightly sucked on her skin, his tongue laving the skin above a beating pulse. “But yet… I can not stand the thought of marring you…” he lifted his head from her neck and rested his forehead against hers; his eyes locked onto hers.

She tilted and brought her lips up into his, her tongue licking at his fangs and tasting his mouth hungrily. She slipped her arms over his bare chest, and over his shoulders. Her hands grasping his trench coat like jacket and pulling it off of him. Her hands let it drop beside her bed as then her fingers ran over his exposed arms. Her lips having moved from his and worked down from his chin, over his jaw line and down the side of his neck. She slid under him easily as she continued her path down his hair less stomach. At reaching his pants- she stopped and wrapped her fingers into the loops on his belt and slowly pulled herself back up his body, making sure brush herself along him.

She suddenly found herself being crushed into her bed, her hands pinned over her head with just one of his hands. Her mouth seized in a searing hot kiss that made her body tense up and sweat to roll down her face. She found her bare legs parted a hand slowly running up her thigh. She moaned into the heated kiss, her body arching up as she felt passion welding up in her body so fast- she felt like it would tear her apart. “Please… Just take me… Both ways, either…” She whispered as he released her bruised- and slightly bleeding mouth.

Hello there... Ara here with her latest story... This is chapter one... Don’t expect and updates till after jan.26th, my exams end then... Tell me what you people think... My idea of vampires is slightly different then your average blood sucking zombies... I hate discrimination of any kind- and I think the general idea of vampires is slightly over exaggerated... So I've taken it upon my self to warp some romance into clarification! Oh and this story IS going to go places... It was made randomly but I’m developing a plot for it during studying for exams... Hopefully I won’t get a writers block like with my last submitted story...
