Fire and Ice

Fire

Coursing through me

Boiling the crimson in my veins

Turning my love to ashes

Intense flames behind my eyes

Feeding on anger

Growing, intensifying

Consuming me

Releasing the Devil inside

Until I become-

Numb

From the pain

Numb

From the ice

That freezes me

Inside out

Bones chilled

For I am hollow

Without a soul inside

To keep me warm

Like a snowman

I melt

From hot tears

That contain

The last spark

Of the fire

And in the end

I am drowning

In a puddle

Of utter confusion

And regret
