Ah, yes. Once again I must deal with FP's horrible defacement of my perfectly constructed format. If you hope to understand the beautiful piece of art at all, I urge you to go to the following address (deleting the necessary spaces for FP of course):

Passing By

Pull over and look
out the tinted windows
Pull over and listen
to the aquatic melody
Pull over and escape
into sparkling streets with me
Pull over, pull over
Come dance in the rain with me

First steps are tentative
Mango or salsa?
A brisk mist leaves your mouth
as your rhapsodic spirit fills the atmosphere
I try to keep up
but your graceful mystique is bounds ahead
i t r a t r
p t e p t e
i t r a t r
p t e p t e
The rain falls faster
i t r a t r
p t e p t e
i t r a t r
p t e p t e
Hearts beat faster

Cars zoom by
missing all the fun
Life zooms by
as our merriment’s begun
You stare at the fountain
I see your widening grin
You leap without hesitation
It’s time for a swim
Laughter reaches the stratosphere
and the ears of passersby
A hostile glare sends the message
it is time to part
Water hangs precipitously at the edge of your nose
then falls to the ground as you wink
Your gaiety and smile
warm my soul
if only for just a while
