I Shall Wait for You
By; K.S. Night
I don’t care
How long is needed,
Nor how many snows,
Or summers it takes.
I shall wait for you.
Over the years,
And through the ages,
Past autumns and springs,
Through sunshine and rain,
I shall wait for you.
My heart shall not falter,
Nor shall my mind change.
Neither smiles nor tears,
Shall sway my decision.
I shall wait for you.
No matter how many
Years it may take,
My soul shall be strong,
And I shall not waver.
I shall wait for you.
Over mountains and canyons,
Through rivers and streams,
Past prairies and tundra’s,
Across valleys and hills,
I shall wait for you.
I’ll let no other,
Take your place in my heart.
Always, you will have a place,
And it shall never fade.
I shall wait for you.
No matter how long
The time must be.
No matter how hard
The wait may be,
I shall wait for you.
Though time shall pass,
And I shall age,
And grow old,
My promise remains.
I shall wait for you.
Though decades go by,
And my bones become fragile,
My heart and soul
Shall remain fresh and strong.
I shall wait for you.
And when my time is done,
And my body is buried,
My spirit shall live on,
Through the countless eons.
I shall wait for you.
Someday, I know,
You will appear,
After so long a time,
You shall finally come.
I shall wait for you.
Someday, past the ages,
My waiting shall cease.
Someday, you shall join me.
But, until then,
I shall wait for you.
I don’t care
How long is needed,
Nor how many snows,
Or summers it takes.
I shall wait for you.
I shall always wait for you…
