Walking in the Rain

By Slayer of Evil

Verse 1

The comes a certain time,
In everybody’s life,
Where the ghosts that haunt our pasts
Finally destroy our lives in the light.

In the torment of our souls,
There is little they can’t do,
But the question that matters is,
When it’s over, who are you?

Refrain

Cause it’s finally reached a point,
Where it doesn’t really matte,
Caused I’d gladly give it all,
Just to see a loved one laughter,

I am broken, I am beaten’,
But I still am not defeated
And I’ve over come the pain,
Cause I like walking in the rain.

Verse 2
So my life has had its bad times,
Show me one that’s seen no darkness,
And though I may have my flaws,
I know that I still have a purpose,

The key to life is not what’s happened,
It what you do right now that matters,
So I fight to make them happy,
Even though I’m bent and shattered.

Refrain
Cause it’s finally reached a point,
Where it doesn’t even matter,
And I’d freely give it all,
Just to see their joyful laughter,

And though I’m beaten and I’m broken
I still have a useful slogan,
And though there’s sometimes lots of pain,
I don’t mind walking in the rain.

Verse 3
Yes I can feel the drops they’re stinging me,
Like a thousand silver needles,
Piercing me with every splash upon me,
And still I’m smiling through it all,

And now the cold is coming on,
My body starts to feel the chill
I’m not crying, I’m not begging,
Just fighting for what I believe.

Final Refrain
Long ago it reached that point,
Where it doesn’t even matter,
And I’d proudly give it all,
Just to bring them joy and laughter,

Life is not meant,
To be simple,
Gotta fight for joy,
Or become crippled,

And even though I’m beaten,
And I’m broken,
I’ve reasons to stay,
And I don’t mind showin’

That although there might be pain,
I will freely and proudly,
Go walking in the rain.
